I would argue that they were in fact just one very important example of the hungry sleep-drugged soul seeking a way to be heard. However, many artsists of those times, and indeed today, would flatly deny anything remotely to do with spiritual things - or worse still - religious things.
Take, for instance, one of my favourites - Mark Rothko. This tragic artist committed himself to the task of producing massive canvases with many vaguely resembling the outline of a window - especially an after image once the eye has closed. His vast expanses of colour seemed to hunt out a corner or edge in a desperate attempt to complete, or conclude, the picture. Not satisfied with that he went on to give up titling his work saying that he did not want to influence the onlooker in any way. Ironically he failed ... and sadly took his own life. For me his works speak of wonderful tantilizing clues visually demonstrating the struggling spirit seeking (and succeeding!) in revealing herself - now that is real influence! Let me explain by an apparently unrelated route:

Not so long ago I came across the writings of Meister Eckhart, a fourteenth century Christian mystic. His words amazed me. He described in his many sermons what he believed to be the truth as to why we are here. He also revealed many tantilizing "images" of the spirit from the least angelic being right up to God Himself. His descriptions were ... how can I put it simply? ... abstract!
In one of his sermons he described God as ... "unknowable" ... "not able to be understood" ... "undefinable". In another he made a statement (one of many which may have contributed to him being accused of heresy!) "People say God exists ... God does not exist ... " left out of context that would be a truly blasphemous assertion. But he went on to say that "... God is far greater ... God is beyond existance". These and many other controversial sayings have impressed me so much that I have come to "see" God as an abstract entity - not, I hasten to add, an anarchic abstract form - but rather a God far more powerful, far more greater - than I can imagine ... in other words totally undefinable. Rather than this putting a distance between me and God, it has done exactly the opposite. And when Eckhart began to describe the life of Christ in an almost completely abstract way - Eckhart said that Christs life was the greatest example of the seeking and finding the uncreated source of the pure soul - my imagination began to run like a film of frenzied obscure visuals. Eckhart has become, to me, the patron saint of abstract artists.
The beauty of Eckharts enigmatic words are intensely inspiring. What better way to illustrate his poetic writings than to describe Gods "isness" in the very basic form of a gigantic flat area of one saturated colour untainted by anythingelse. Strangely enough this could be part of an exact description from one of Rothko's immense, sometimes almost monochromatic, paintings.
But this is by no means the whole story ... one of Eckhart's contradictions said that on the one hand God is totally unapproachable, yet at the same time God is actually very, very approachable ...

People see different forms or images in abstract art

When I paint, every attempt is to capture the feel of warmth, passion, joy and bliss in none objective or figurative composition. I enjoy experimentation of different media and subjects.
My subject varies based on my emotion and statement but my love for colors is constant. In spite of this, viewers see different forms or figures in my abstract expressions. The good thing about these expressions is the freedom of the viewers to see and appreciate the forms in their mind's eyes, like face painting in the eye of the viewer. Its also important to mention that "Uli" which is my traditional art style has played a major role in my age long career. The symbols and forms of this art style are reflected in my cubism, abstract images, abstract relief sculpture, seascape, drawing, pastels and watercolor painting.

This well-written novel is an emotiona
Retired police captain, Marshall Frank, has written another excellent read in his latest work, Call Me Mommy. Marshall is definitely a prolific writer – he has authored five books and hundreds of short stories and essays to date sewa tenda bandung.
I would classify Call Me Mommy as a tragic suspense saga. Marshall succeeds in making the book more realistic by using elements of some factual events within the story line.
The main character, Laura is fooled into having with a callous and selfish boy while she was still in high school. Lloyd was ill prepared for fatherhood and was forced into marriage with a girl he did not love. His greed and animosity is apparent from the beginning. Lloyd ruthlessly ripped Laura out of his home and his life when he arranged through corrupt contacts to have her committed to a mental health clinic. When released from this prison sentence, she discovered she lost all rights to see her son.
This well-written novel is an emotional story of a mother with a deep level of compassion, commitment and loyal endurance. Her self-sacrificing efforts might not save her son, but she may be able to save her grandson and have a little taste of revenge as well. Through it all, Laura remains a strong individual who learns to make room for true love and passion.

Casi todo el mundo ha leÃdo el cuento de caperucita roja "Little Red Riding Hood" alguna vez. ¿Es posible pensar que esta niña inocente era como un sÃmbolo para los hombres del siglo 17? Por lo menos en nuestro siglo esta pequeña niña es un ejemplo de una niña desobediente que por no hacer lo que su mamá le dijo entonces le pasó lo que le paso. Pero lo bueno es que al final aprendió la lección.
Como decÃa anteriormente. Caperucita roja fue escrito en el siglo 17 por Charles Perrault, quien en esa época escribÃa cuentos de hadas que eran dirigidos para la clase baja de ese tiempo pero no exactamente para los niños. Hay que tener en cuenta que en el siglo 17 (aunque suene increÃble) los niños no eran reconocidos como niños sino como pequeños adultos. No habÃa ropa para niños, cuentos o juguetes, sino que todos compartÃan los mismo, tanto los adultos como los pequeños adultos.
Si leen la versión de caperucita de Perrault se van a dar cuenta que la forma en el que está escrito este cuento es de una forma frÃa y sin distinción de edad. Por ejemplo, y volviendo a nuestro tema, el lobo en ese cuento, después de comerse a la abuela luego le pide a caperucita que se quite la ropa y se meta a la cama con él. A esto le podemos dar diferentes interpretaciones ya que como adultos, que un hombre le pida eso a una mujer deja muchas cosa que pensar.
También Perrault describe a caperucita como la niña mas linda que puede existir. El color rojo de la capa de caperucita tiene un significado fuerte, puede ser amor, o sÃmbolo Al final del cuento de Perrault podemos ver que él hace como una advertencia a las niñas, que no le pongan atención a los lobos que están en el camino pero lo que quiere decir en realidad es que no deben fijarse en aquellos hombres que les dicen cualquier cosa. Esto también va dirigido a los hombres de ese pueblo (el lobo) que solÃan aprovecharse de las señoritas del pueblo (caperucita) entonces en la moraleja del cuento es como una advertencia para las niñas y también para los hombres del pueblo.
A diferencia del cuento de caperucita roja de Perrault podemos ver la versión de los hermanos Grimm, esta versión fue escrita 120 años después del de Perrault, aquà ya podemos ver que en el cuento de los Hermanos Grimm el color rojo no es un sÃmbolo pero si es un sÃmbolo de amor y familia entre la mama de caperucita, la abuela y ella. Además nos podemos fijar en que el lobo no le dice a caperucita que se meta a la cama con él ni mucho menos, las escenas eróticas ya estan borradas y es un cuento que los niños pueden leer, aunque este cuento tampoco fue escrito para niños.
En el cuento de los Hermanos Grimm también podemos ver que hay dos formas de final, en los cuales se puede aprender de la moraleja. Y la moraleja es que las niñas deben hacerle caso a sus padres cuando ellos dicen algo porque si no lo hacen puede que las consecuencias sean graves como apostar mucho dinero en Juegos de casino y perder o ganar todo.
